The Graduate School Graubünden was successfully evaluated by the Swiss Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (AAQ).
The Graduate School Graubünden underwent a quality audit by the Swiss Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (AAQ) in the period from June 2017 to December 2018. The GSGR sees the quality audit as a process that can set new impulses. At its meeting on December 7, 2018, the AAQ Commission approved the report Audit Graduate School Graubünden. The expert’s report acknowledges the achievements of the Graduate School Graubünden in favour of the research institutes and universities of Graubünden as well as their employees.

«The GSGR and ACAR are an original response of a canton without a university of its own to support and further develop research and the researchers in Graubünden: within the framework of the Graubünden higher education and research strategy, the two structures promote and connect the research institutions and their researchers, offer them opportunities for professional and interdisciplinary qualification and involve them in the processes of research promotion and public relations. The canton thus has the opportunity to increase its national and international visibility as a research location, attract talented young researchers and strengthen its scientific output.
In summary, in the work of the GSGR, ACAR and all participants from the institutions, the expert group has perceived the work of highly committed personalities with the clear aim of further developing the research landscape for the benefit of the researchers and the region. The impact of these efforts was particularly evident in the on-site visit. Together with the given recommendations, the expert group sees this as a positive further development in the future profile of the research location Graubünden. In this context, the GSGR and ACAR make a decisive contribution to the development of the social and economic infrastructure as well as the cultural diversity and identity of the region.»
